I translate medical documents, package leaflets, patient information, scientific literature and popular science, websites for this sector. Assisted fertilisation, oncology, nutrition, genetics, autism, and rare diseases are the specific sectors in which I have most experience and interest. Lately, I’ve been increasingly involved in translating and revising market research materials, clinical trials, and user manuals for medical equipment.
Ultimately, the medical and pharmaceutical world is more than a job for me; it’s a deep-seated personal interest that dates back to my childhood. This is why I have attended and continue to attend a series of specialisation courses on medical translation in general and specifically on clinical trials, autism, and nutrition. It is also why I read articles from the most important scientific medical journals in my three working languages every day. Keeping up-to-date in this field is essential, building vocabulary is a daily practice.
